Initial Observations

• The use of clean gradients combined with simple vector art throughout make it an easy and simple experience and good on the eyes.

I Like ...

• Appropriate padding between different elements provides good breathing space. This helps create a positive user experience.

• Use of clean gradients combined with simple vector art throughout make it an easy and simple experience.

• Usually it's not good design to make music autoplay on websites. But, on music industry websites that rule is ignored. It's nice to see the music player positioned in the center of the index page.

• The music player is free of clutter and the album art next to the playing tract is a nice feature.

• At the top of the design, on the right, below the search form, a text graphic displays what section the user is viewing e.g. if the user is on the home page it displays HOME or if the user is in the news section it displays NEWS. This is fantastic because it shows cleary where the user is.

• A simple sentence below navigation items informs the user about those sections e.g. the "NEWS" link has the text "The latest Almighty updates" below it. I love this!

I don't like ...

• The fonts needs some attention. The text size could be bigger. The text could also be clearer by increasing the line-height.

AlmightyRecords.com Final Thought

AlmightyRecords.com is an excellent record label website. It's big. It's bold. It's good work. It' could be better; more attention could be shown towards the design and quality of the content. Nonetheless, overall, AlmightyRecords.com is the best independent record label website I have ever seen.
